EQUIPMENT

The GGC is currently equipped with 3 NGS sequencing Illumina platforms; a MiSeq system for small scale projects, a NextSeq 500 for medium to large-scale projects and a NovaSeq 6000 for large-scale projects. Single cell assays are performed with the Fluidigm C1 system. In order to support the sequencing operations, the GGC is equipped with high-capacity robotic systems for DNA and RNA extraction, liquid handling and NGS library preparation (QIA Symphony, PRIMADIAG ACSIANGS) that allow the automatization, standardization and high throughput performance from the starting material entering the laboratory up to the sequencing results. The DNA/RNA quality control is carried out with the Agilent Bioanalyzer system and quantified with the Qubit and Nanodrop devices.
